The first edition of the festival was held on 27 July 2021 at ExpostModerno (via Napoli 264, Bari), during the film review “Festa del Cinema in Libertà” organized by Armata Brancaleone APS.
During the event 9 short films were screened, selected among the 44 presented at the contest.
The best short film award and the audience prize were won by the stop-motion short film “Io”, presented by the filmmaker Antonio Stea coming from Bitonto (BA). The prize for the best short film realized by a student enrolled in a course of Science and Technology School of Bari University (Prize: Scienziatə alla Regia) was won by a Physics student, Stefania Caragnano with her work “Student vs Pandemic”. The short film “L’inutilità (uselessness)” of the filmmaker Gennaro Iago Esposito from Naples received a Special Mention by the jury.
